Ellen Omega Mallene Pace Clinge, 94, or Orangeburg, SC, passed away, April 12, 2016.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at First Presbyterian Church, Orangeburg, SC, with Dr. Danny Massie officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the Presbyterian Centre.

Omega was born on January 8, 1922, in Orangeburg, SC, a daughter of the late Charles Wideman Pace and the late Frances Collins Pace. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School and Winthrop College. She taught kindergarten for twenty-three years at Tiny Tot Preschool and Kiddie Kollege. Omega was a member of the Winthrop Board of Directors of the Alumni Association and First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed painting, playing scrabble and games, and a good hand of Bridge. Meme, a true southern lady, loved to dress-up and wear lots of jewelry. Her lipstick was always perfect and so was her etiquette.

Mrs. Clinge is survived by her daughters, Jane Clinge Shuler (John) of Orangeburg, SC and Charlene Clinge Alexander (John) of Fairhope, AL.

Meme was the grandmother of Amy Shuler Kratzer (Chris), Ellen Shuler Hinrichs (Steve) and John "Jack" F. Shuler, Jr. (Ceciel), Collins Alexander McAleer (Danny), John A. Alexander, Jr. (Maiko) and Catharine Alexander Wilkins (Dan); fourteen great-grandchildren, Harrison, Cailyn, Madelyn and Ashton Kratzer, Jacob, Clayton and Mallie Hinrichs, Amelie, Frankie and Louis Shuler, Anna Louise and Betsy McAleer, Julia Clayton and John Harris Wilkins . Joyce Rheney, Mary Riley and Porcha Coulter were dear, caring friends, as well as, the "Out to Lunch Bunch".

She was predeceased by her husband and dance partner of 68 years, Harold Clayton Clinge.
