West Point- David Edwin Frantz, 66, passed away at 2:59am, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.

David was born September 12, 1949 in Salem, a son of Phyllis (Chamberlain) Frantz and the late Leslie William Frantz, and had moved back to West Point in 2000 from the Cuyahoga Falls area.

A 1967 graduate of Beaver Local High School, David had attended Kent State University. He had worked as a cook at the Steel Trolley Diner for many years, retiring in December of 2015.

David was a member of the West Point Church of the Nazarene, and was an avid reader who enjoyed weekly visits to the library.

In addition to his mother of West Point, he is survived by his wife, Marcia (Linger) Frantz; his son, Loy W. Frantz of West Point; and his sister, Deanna Sue (Tom) Haueter of Guilford Lake.

A graveside service will be held at 11am, Friday April 15, 2016 in the Lisbon Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Joyce Reynolds officiating. A memorial service will be held at West Point Church of the Nazarene at a later date and will be announced at that time. No calling hours will be observed.
