Doris M. Huften, 88, passed away on March 25, 2016, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the wife of the late William Huften. Doris was born on July 13, 1927, to the late Howard and Edna (Birge) Sheldon in Litchfield.

She is survived by two sons, David Huften and his wife, Iris, and Ronald Huften, and a daughter, Leona Huften all of Torrington; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband William, she was predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Hawley and her husband, Ward Hawley and her grandson, David Huften.
