Karen A. Caskey, 68, of Blue Springs, MO passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2016 after a 2 1/2 year struggle with Breast Cancer. She was born on June 6, 1947 to James and Mary Lee (Brooks) Mock.

Karen was united in marriage with David Caskey on April 19, 1966 in Independence, MO. She worked as the Data Records Manager for the Nelson Atkins Art Museum for 17 years. She later worked for H & R Bloch for 5 years. Karen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Karen loved singing, dancing, traveling and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks. Her greatest enjoyment came from being around her family and friends.

Survivors include husband, David Caskey of Blue Springs, MO; daughters, Dawn Guerra of Blue Springs, MO, Melissa Caskey of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren; Kaylee Funnell and husband Joshua of Grain Valley, MO, Krista Guerra of Blue Springs, MO, Caroline Guerra of Blue Springs, MO, Kelsie Baldus of Blue Springs, MO, Carlie Baldus of Blue Springs, MO, Katherine McClafferty of Lee’s Summit, MO, Alex McClafferty of Warrensburg, MO, Cody McClaffterty of Springfield, MO; great grandson, Ryan Funnell; sister, Sharon Jobe and husband Steve of Blue Springs, MO; nieces, Tonja Gram of Independence, MO, Sonja Davis of Fishers, IN and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, John A. Guerra.
