Larry was born August 17, 1948 in Evansville to the late Charlie and Ida (Detroy) Brush. He was a 32 year veteran of the Evansville Police Department, retiring in 2006 as Lieutenant of the Juvenile Department. Larry played the bass drum for the Indiana Emerald Society, enjoyed model airplanes, loved Ford Mustangs and his cats.
Surviving Larry are his wife of 15 years, Cheryl (Fieth) Brush; two daughters, Ginger (Paul) Crook and Marcy Brush; a son, Seth (LeShea) Tenney and two brothers, Donald Brush and Rex (Karen) Brush, all of Evansville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jeremiah Crook, Kayce Crook, Zachary Crook, Maurannda Brush, Kristina Crook and Lillian Tenney and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Brush.
Funeral services for Larry will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Pierre Funeral Home, Evansville Police Department Chaplain Darren Sroufe officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
