Millie was born to Fay and Lyle Packard at their home outside of Moscow. She was the fourth of five children.

She was married to Leonard P. Germer from 1947-1973. While married, she and Leonard had five children with whom she stayed home and cared for.

After 1973, she lived in San Jose, Calif., and worked as a bookkeeping clerk at Pearson Oldsmobile until she retired in 1991.

She moved back to the Pacific Northwest for several years, then to be closer to her youngest daughter, she moved to Connecticut for several years before returning to Lewiston.

She enjoyed baking, especially bread. She had many friends around the country who remember her for her kindness and concern. She was very health conscious and often researched "ailments" for natural treatments. She led a good, active life.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Doris Ainsworth, Cecil Packard, Donna Barrus and son Richard Germer.

A graveside memorial at Viola Cemetery is planned for a later date.
