Georgia L. Davis, 80, Auburn, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at her home. She was born March 15, 1936 at Wakarusa, KS, the daughter of George and Erma Patterson Henry.
She graduated from Auburn High School in 1954. Georgia previously was a baker for Dillon's and a member of the Auburn United Methodist Church.
She married Fred G. Davis in 1983 at Topeka, KS. He preceded her in death in 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter in 1973, a grandson, Joshua Michael Sitz in 1985, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Joe and wife Colleen Smalley, Burlingame, KS; Rick and wife Georgia Smalley, Auburn, KS; a daughter, Dawn and husband Jeff Sitz, Carbondale, KS; a step-son, Mike and wife Ronda Davis, Harveyville, KS; a step-daughter, Paula and husband Bob Sharp, Auburn, KS; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Auburn Community Center, Auburn, KS. Burial will follow in Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, at Carey Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends and relatives from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals On Wheels and sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.
