A Memorial Mass will be held for James "Jimmy" "Poppy" Weber on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott with Monsignor Robie Robichaux, Pastor of St. Leo the Great as the Celebrant of the Mass.

Burial will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Jimmy had a career in the Engineering Department at the Louisiana DOTD where he retired after 36 years of service. As a lifelong resident of the Ossun Community, he was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was an especially devoted husband to his wife Virginia “Jenny” for 46 years. He also loved his pets, Cajun and Country Music, gardening and following his sons’ endeavors. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

Survivors include his five sons, Troy and wife Monica, Todd and wife Melanie, Ted and Fiancé Keitha Broussard, Thad and wife Melissa, Ty and wife Lucia; brothers, Glenn and wife, Mary Katherine, Wayne Weber and wife, Faye; sister, Connie Weber Zeller and husband, Wally ; sister in law, Christine Ritchey Weber; granddaughters, Laci Weber, Blair Weber, Lily Weber, Isabel Weber; grandsons, Cody Weber, Cole Weber, Brett Weber, Cameron Weber, Matthew Weber, George Weber, Ethan Weber; great-granddaughters, Chloe Thibodeaux and Karmyn Wonner.

He is preceded in death by his wife Virginia “Jenny” Pitre Weber, parents Walter Weber and Edalie “Sis” Smith Weber, brother Kenneth Weber, nephews Christopher and William Weber.

The family will receive visitors on Monday April 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Delhomme Funeral Home in Scott, LA. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at 9:00 AM in Sts. Peter and Paul Church Scott, LA until time of service at 10:00 AM.
