She was born July 20, 1929, in Camden, Tenn., to the late Clarence and Tessie (Smith) Sterling and had resided in Anderson since 1956. She had worked as an inspector for Nicholson File.
Elois was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Senior Citizens Club, Golden Age Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed playing euchre.
She is survived by her son, Frank J. Hogue of Anderson; grandson, Rusty Hogue of Anderson; granddaughter, Amber (husband Jeff) Moore of Valparaiso; sister, Virginia Sitzes of Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Chuck Meeks and Jarvis Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessee "Don" Bishop; brother, Clyde Sterling; sisters, Genolia Ford, Ruth Light and Mae Tidwell.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
Burial will be in Big Run Community Cemetery in Fleming County, Kentucky.
