Harvey L. Belcher Sr., 76, Titusville, Fla., a native of Watertown, died May 4 at Parrish Medical Center, Titusville, following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Belcher served in the Coast Guard during World War II.

He retired as a district manager for the Singer Sewing Machine Co. Following his retirement, he lived in Titusville and spent summers in New York at Birch Haven.

He was a member of the First United Church of God, Titusville, and the Titusville American Legion.

Born July 19, 1921, in Watertown, a son of George and Ruth Belcher, he attended Watertown schools. He married Dorothy J. McFarland on April 9, 1943.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Ruth Ann Blouvelt, Lacona; three sons, Harvey L. Jr., Skaneateles, and Raymond S. and David J., both of Massachusetts; three sisters, Rena B. Keiser, Bernhard Bay, Bernice L. Tanner, Watertown, and Frances F. LaJuett, Titusville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; an aunt and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers, William L., Floyd C. and James E., and a sister, Pauline J. Simmons, died before him.

A memorial service was held Thursday at First United Church of God.
