Per a deed in Rockingham County, N.C. regarding Roane lands in 1832 , the burial place of Thomas is said to be located on the former farm of Thomas Roane .

Thomas was a son of William Roane & his wife Elizabeth Ball of Virginia

It is ordered by the court letters of administration of the estate of Thomas Roane deceased issue to William Roane he having entered into bond in the sum of two hundred pounds with Arch'd D Murphey and Arch'd R Ruffin as his securities
It is ordered by the court that James Rawley Esq., Thomas P Guerrant , Henry Wall and Reuben Pyler be appointed commissioners to allott and lay off to Henrietta Roane widow and Relict of Thomas Roane dec'd one years provisions out of her said dec'd husbands estate ~

Rockingham County, NC Settlements 1817- 1829 State of No Carolina County of Rockingham We to _____ was referr'd a settlement with William Roane administrator of Thomas Roane Dec'd find in his han d agreeable to return in the clerks office the sum of ninety four dollars & sixty three & one fourth cents also a note on Charles Mills for eighty two dollars which note appears to have come into th e hands of the admr by mistake & is not recoverable in law. $94.63/4

And that he has paid out agreeable to vouchers to us produced the sum (to wit )

No 1 Henrietta Roane receipt $87.95

No 2 Robert Galloway receipt 1.20

No 3 Nathl Seales ditto 1.33

No 4 John E Oliver dit to 4.00
