Page News and Courier (Luray, VA) - Thursday, April 7, 2016 Annie Watson Smelser Buracker, 81, of Stanley, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Life Care Center of New Market.

She was a daughter of the late Jeff Comer and Maggie Mae Smelser. Mrs. Buracker worked as a supervisor at Rockingham Poultry for 37 years and then in the bakery for 10 years at Stanley IGA, retiring in 1993. She attended Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church.

On May 30, 1953, she married Andrew Leroy Buracker, who died on Oct. 20, 2015.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina R. Mann and husband Shannon of Stanley, Teresa Ann Bond and husband Ronnie of Broadway, and Wanda Bernice Stephens and husband Phil of Fort Valley; her twin sister, Polly Bohon of Freeport, Texas; her grandchildren, Shane Delawder of Fort Valley, Joshua and Amber Stephens of Quicksburg, and Hannah and Phillip Crisman of Fort Valley; and her great-grandchildren, Sara, Eva, Ella and Julia Crisman, and Clara Mae Stephens. Also, a special cousin Ronnie J. Campbell of Stanley. She was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Franklin Buracker; a brother-in-law, William Bohon; two sisters-in-law, Patsy and Reva Buracker; and a special niece, Joyce Cave.

A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, April 5, at the Stanley New Hope Pentecostal Church by Pastor Randy Miller. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
