Ann Marie Link, 85, of Throop, died Sunday morning at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center. Her husband, Edward Link, died June 24, 2009. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Mary Manley Eckenrode, she was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Scranton, and was employed as an aide at the NEIU Special Education Unit. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish at St. Anthony's Church, Throop. The family wishes to thank VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center for the wonderful care given to Ann Marie, and also to Dr. Thomas Majernick and his staff.
Surviving are a daughter, two sons, a sister,nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher, in 1975; and two brothers, Paul and William Eckenrode. The funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Anthony's Church, 215 Rebecca St., Throop.
