Death Takes Mrs Lambert


Mrs Maggie Moore Lambert 76 of Brian Center and formerly of route 13 Statesville died at 9 a.m. today at Davis Hospital where she had been a patient for 12 days.


A native of Iredell County she was daughter of the late Walter and Mary Stevenson Moore and was born April 7 1904.


She was married on Sept 1, 1919 to Sam Charles Lambert who died in 1969. Mrs Lambert was a member of South River Baptist Church.


Surviving are five sons Billy Lee Lambert of Hickory; Donald Lambert of route 4 Statesville, Archie Lee Lambert of route 1 Union Grove, Clarence Lambert of route 1 Troutman and Robert Lambert no address available; three daughters Miss Edna Lam bert of Hickory, Mrs. Carrie Campbell of Statesville and Mrs. Eugene (Lucy) Johnson of route 13 Statesville and one half brother John Stevenson of Thomasville.


Rev. Ralph Grose, Rev. Frank Ostwait and Rev. Howard Wagoner will officiate and burial will be in South River Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today 7 - 9 pm at Bunch Johnson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
