She worked for many years as an operator at Illinois Bell in West Chicago and later in Geneva. Jean enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting for her family who she loved dearly.
Jean is survived by her husband of 54 years, Larry Kim of St. Charles; children, Ginny Kim of Sycamore, Patty (Mark) Yep of Geneva and Kyle (Patty) Kim of Mendota; grandchildren, Jacklyn (Mark) Nolan, Rob Yep (Claudia Tapia), Karen Yep, Matt Yep (Hildee Nave), Nick Yep, Nathaniel and Allyson Kim ; great-grandchildren, Summer, Cain, Brianna, Diego and Kathy; and nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wayne and Bud Adamson.
Memorial visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at Norris-Walen-Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington Street and Main) in West Chicago. Pastor Greg Skiba will officiate. Burial will be private at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.
