QUINCY, Pa. - Susan K. "Sue" Bumbaugh Schwinger Eigenbrode, 83, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 14254 Windy Haven Road in Smithsburg, Lantz, Md., and Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at the home.

Born May 21, 1919, in Rouzerville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Crawford R. Bumbaugh Sr. and Ina M. Pryor Bumbaugh.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Schwinger, in 1969. They were married July 16, 1955.

She was preceded in death by her second husband, Mark Daniel Eigenbrode, in 2001. They were married Nov. 21, 1985.

She attended school in Sabillasville, Md.; and Waynesboro Business School. She was employed as a seamstress by Claire Frock Co. in Thurmont, Md., for 14 years; and as a sewing machine operator and supervisor in the cutting department at Waynesboro Knitting Co. for 33 years. She retired in 1985.

She was a member of Rouzerville Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of King's Youth Bible Class and Women's Fellowship. She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of the Cross Keys Brethren Home in New Oxford, Pa.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty Jane Martin of Waynesboro, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Barale E. Royer of Harrisburg, Pa., three stepsons, Richard D. Eigenbrode of Waynesboro, Mark S. Eigenbrode of Fort Loudon, Pa., and William F. Eigenbrode of Palatine, Ill.; two sisters, Ina Mae Buhrman of Cascade, and Ruth B. Martin of Largo, Fla.; one brother, Albert G. Bumbaugh of Caledonia, Pa.; two grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 26 step great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sadie E. Buhrman and Edna M. Buhrman; and four brothers, Crawford Bumbaugh Jr., Calvin T. Bumbaugh, Edgar P. Bumbaugh and Glenn R. Bumbaugh.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The Rev. Leonard Smith and Chaplain Daniel F. Derk will officiate.

Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Rouzerville Church of the Brethren
