OBITUARY :
MRS. LEILA M. SANDERS CLINE, 70, of 11880 Gehr Road, Waynesboro, died at noon Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg. She had been in failing health for the past 1 1/2 years and was critically ill for the past week.

Born March 18, 1921, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late James and Catherine (Saum) Summers. She lived her early life in the Chambersburg area.

Mrs. Cline graduated from the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1938.

She was a secretary for Wayne Laboratory, Waynesboro, from 1953 to 1978. She then was employed as a secretary for E. G. Wills Appliance Store in Waynesboro from 1978 until 1987, when she retired.

Mrs. Cline was preceded in death by her first husband, John B. Sanders, who died in 1943. She and her second husband, Robert L. Cline, were married in May 1946. He died Sept. 16, 1983.

She lived at the present residence for the past 39 years.

She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Waynesboro.

Mrs. Cline is survived by one son, John S. Sanders of Chambersburg; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret McCleary and Hilda Schaff, both of Marion, and Helen Gilbert of Ormond Beach, Fla.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 112 E. Second St., with the Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hams officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Grove Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 112 E. Second St., Waynesboro, Pa. 17268.
