Chuck graduated from Pratt High School in 1974 and Pratt Community College in 1976. He enjoyed playing sports, especially football during his high school and college years.
Chuck was an account specialist for PRA in Hutchinson. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially watching wildlife. Whoever traveled with him would have to play the “hawk” game. There would always be a competition of who could see the most hawks, especially between Hutchinson and Pratt. At his home, he fed the birds and squirrels every day and enjoyed sitting outside on a swing drinking coffee with Donna and hanging out with “Boo Boo” peacefully watching the world go by. He also loved to fish and hunt. Chuck loved his family very much and was quite proud of his nephews. He would travel to Pratt often to have family nights which consisted of playing cards, especially Pitch and Poker, and sharing stories that always ended up bringing big smiles.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Salmon; sister Margaret (Maggie) and husband John Southard of Pratt, Kansas; two nephews Nathan Southard who works at Boeing in St. Louis, Missouri and Luke Southard who works for Epic Systems in Madison, Wisconsin; and his beloved dog “Boo Boo”.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
