Ester Ruth (nee Randall) Burkhart Crellin was born August 10, 1915 to Asa and Matilda (Albrecht) Randall on the family homestead near Sheridan Lake, Colorado.
She graduated in South Dakota from Doland High School in 1932. She married Floyd O. Burkhart in 1937 and became a farm wife and mother. After 36 years of marriage, Floyd passed away on November 2, 1973. Ester worked as a secretary for Poffenberger and Joy Attorneys, Brenton Bank and Murdock Funeral Home, all in Perry, Iowa. In 1981 Ester married Thomas A. Crellin of Minburn, Iowa.
After 11 years of marriage, Tom passed away on June 1, 1992. The past few years she lived near her daughter in Panora, Iowa. The last three years she lived at The New Homestead in Guthrie Center, Iowa where she died May 9, 2017.
