Evelyn M. (Strode) Clark, 100, of Lostant, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Crossroads Community Church in Magnolia. Burial will follow in Richland Cemetery in Leonore. Arrangements are entrusted to Mueller Funeral Home in Lostant.
Evelyn was born January 18, 1916 in Magnolia to Elzie and Bertha (Heusel) Stode. She was a 1934 graduate of Lostant High School. She married Wesley Richard on November 9, 1934 in the Evangelical parsonage in Richland Township. He passed away September 30, 1972. She married Dale Breckenridge on February 25, 1973 in Lostant. He passed away December 11, 1991. She married Floyd Clark on March 8, 1997 in Richland United Methodist Church.
Evelyn was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Magnolia. She worked for many years as a beautician out of her home. She was the organist for many years at Richland United Methodist Church and enjoyed crocheting and painting.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd; one daughter, Marian (Tom) Sturgeon of Ohio; one son, Eugene (Vicki) Richard of Arizona; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Esther Linder of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews, including special caregivers, Vickie and Pat Strode.
In addition to her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Elzie Denton "Barney" and Harlan Walker "Lucky" Strode.
