...J. W. McCauley and his daughter, Vesta, moved back to Moody where he retained farming and business interests, but after a very brief stay, returned to Roscoe. Vesta attended school in Roscoe where her basketball coach was Miss Iona Kearse, later Mrs. J. W. Young. Her piano teacher was Mrs. Amy Medlock. J. W. McCauley was an ardent gardener and took an active interest in politics until his death in 1934.
Vesta married Edward James Worthy and most of their married life was spent in Roscoe - all of it on the same street, and much of it in the same house on Cypress Street. They had two children, Virginia and Mary Edna, both of whom attended school in Roscoe. Vesta was active in church and club activities for many years...
...As of 1984, Vesta McCauley Worthy and one daughter, Mary Edna, are the only members of the J. W. McCauley family remaining in Roscoe.
