Roscoe, March 23 - Funeral services for Mrs. A. M. Coleman, 63, will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church here with Don Morris, president of Abilene Christian College, and Ernest Shelton, a member of the ACC faculty, officiating. Burial will be in the Roscoe Cemetery.
Mrs. Coleman, mother of A. M. (Tonto) Coleman, ACC head coach, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at San Angelo in the home of a daughter, Mrs. J. Alton Short. Mrs. Coleman had been in poor health since last summer.
She was born in Douglasville, Ga. on Oct. 8, 1884, and was married to Arthur Marvin Coleman in 1902 in Philcampbell, Ala. The couple moved to Roscoe in 1919. In 1941, following her husband's death, Mrs. Coleman moved to Blackwell. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include five sons, A. M. Coleman, Carl Coleman of Stamford, Walker Coleman of San Antonio, Harry Coleman of Roscoe and Harold Coleman of Harlingen; three daughters, Mrs. A. I. Reece of Roscoe, Mrs. Walter Sanders of Blackwell and Mrs. Short; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
