Mrs. Sarah Ellen Bell, age 79, a resident of this city two years, coming from Belen, N.M., where she had made her home for 15 years, passed away here at noon Saturday.

She is survived by her husband, Henry H. Bell; five daughters, Mrs. E. H. Hendricks of Roscoe, Texas, Mrs. L. N. Ledford of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Miss Lola Bell, who are here, Mrs. C. B. Turnce of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Mrs. John L. Leyhe of Dallas, Texas; three sons, Ira F. of Durango, Colorado, Walter T. of Detroit, Michigan, and Fred H. of Odessa, Texas; two sisters; one brother; 36 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the North Fourth Street Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held in Palm Chapel of the Strong-Thorne Mortuary on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Robert E. Gulley officiating. The body will be taken on Train No. 25 Monday morning to Roscoe, Texas, for interment.
