Charles Leslie Beck, 89, R.R. 4, (Alquina), died at 1:24 pm, Thursday at Fayette Hospital where he had been ill for three weeks.
He was born December 6, 1879 in Union County, son of William R. and Amanda Cunningham Beck and had lived on R.R. 4 and engaged in farming until nine years ago when he moved to Alquina.
His first wife, formerly Maymie Fields, died in 1922 and his marriage to Bertha Kerschner Archey ended with her death in 1955.
Survivors, four daughters: Mrs. J. Willis (Ethel) Davis of Madeira, Ohio, Mrs. Floyd (Edna) Powell of R.R. 3, Mrs. Donald (Ramona) Schultz of R.R. 4, Liberty and Miss Barbara Beck of Coral Gable, Florida. Three stepchildren: Glenna, Frances and Arthur Archey.
