Henry was born on August 24, 1928, in Golden Valley, ND, the son of Jacob and Lydia (Frashle) Aipperspach.
Henry entered the United States Army on February 22, 1946, in Fort Snelling, MN. He served for two years and was honorably discharged. After his discharge he worked at the Dallman Ranch. On December 27, 1951, he married Mildred Burkhardt at her parents’ house in Zap, ND. Henry and Mildred moved to Montana where Henry worked at a Saw Mill for two years. The couple moved back to Zap where Mildred lived with her parents while Henry moved to Chicago to learn to be a butcher. Henry returned to ND and worked at the Red Owl for a couple years and then back to the Dallman Ranch before moving to Minot in 1957. While living in Minot Henry was employed at Don Moe Dodge, Krebsbach’s, a cabinet shop and finally civil service at the Minot Air Force Base where he retired.
Henry was a life member of the VFW in Minot. He served 17 years in the Army Reserve and numerous years with the Minot American Legion and VFW Color Guard. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors: wife of 64 years, Mildred, Minot; sons, Lynn (Jodi) Aipperspach, Beulah, ND, Lee (Marilyn) Aipperspach, Washburn, ND and Lori, Minot; daughter, Leslie (Ronald) Wiltse, Shelton, WA; six grandchildren, Richard (Christina) Wiltse, Kayleen (Zack) Jones, Christopher Freeman, Samantha Aipperspach, Katrina Aipperspach, and Caleb Aipperspach; and three great-grandchildren, Dakota and MacKenna Wiltse, and Olivia Haight.
Henry was preceded in death by his son, Layne, parents, brothers, Herbert, Edward, Leroy and sisters, Lydia, Louise, Tille, Roses and Dorothy.
