She was born August 20, 1925 to William and Edith (Sandin) Cross in Henriette, MN. She was raised on the farm in Henriette and graduated from high school in Grasston. In 1943 Goldie moved to Mora to work in the Kanabec County Probate office. On April 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Paul Marquart in Mora, MN. They owned and operated the Mora Lanes and Marquart Grocery for several years. Goldie joined the Mora Medical Center as assistant to Dr. Burseth until retiring in 1988.
Goldie was a member of the Mora United Methodist Church, and The Order of Eastern Star.
Goldie was preceded in death by her parents William and Edith (Sandin) Cross; husband Paul; daughter Sherry Aanes; brothers Donald and Lee; sister Clarabelle Poundstone.
