When John Thorne Blake and his twin sister Anne were born on 29 Aug 1618, in Pitminster, Somerset, their father, William, was 24 and their mother, Agnes, was 24. John was Christened on 29 Aug 1618 and because he and Anne were twins it seems likely that both were Christened on that date.

1st Marriage:
John married Hannah Breck (1622–1706) and together they had three children:
1: John Blake 1640-1700
2: Caleb Blake 1631-?
3: Robert 1644-1676

2nd Marriage:
John married Mary Souther Shaw in Boston on 16 Aug 1654. Together they had one (1) child:

1: Hannah Blake
1657–1659
........

Mary's Marriages
Marriage #1: Mary's marriage to Joseph SHAW lasted only from 1 Dec 1653 to the 13th day of Dec 1653, when her husband died.

Marriage #2:
She married John BLAKE in Boston on the 16 Aug 1654 in Boston, Massachusetts. Together they had one (1) child: 1: Hannah Blake (1657–1659).

Mary's father was Nathaniel SOWTHER, who was the Secretary of Plymouth Colony. His handwriting is seen on the records from 3 Jan 1636/37 until 7 Jul 1646. He moved to Boston, where he is admitted as an inhabitant on 27 Jun 1649. He became a Public Notary in Boston.
