Beloved mother, grand and great-grandmother (Gigi), Treva Lenora Lashmett, 94, returned to her Heavenly Father’s arms, Friday, April 1, 2016. Treva was born November 12, 1921 in Geary, Oklahoma to Marion and Rosa Stuller. She was the 10th of 11 children and the last living. She moved to Grand Jct., Colorado when she was 4 years old.

On December 30, 1939, she married her sweetheart, Elmer Havin. Then January 31, 1987 they and their daughters were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Treva and Elmer were blessed with four daughters, Rosalie Acevedo, Barbara (Edward) Simmons, Thelma (Richard) Kelley and Mary (Clifford) Wright. She felt that her family of 21 grandchildren, 59 great and 42 great-great, made it heaven on earth for her.

In 1950, Elmer and Treva moved their family to Pocatello where she worked at the ID Store and later at AT&T but being a homemaker and mom was her first love. She held many positions in the LDS church where she loved serving others and sharing her talents. Treva was a professional seamstress, beautiful knitter, crocheter, tatter and avid horticulturalist. Her beautiful yard and gardens have always been proof of this. Treva was a beautiful artist, painting both oil and acrylics and was a wonderful cook. The Lord blessed her hands that she could create beauty and she shared it with everyone. She crocheted, quilted, and sewed quilts for all of her one hundred plus grand babies.

She loved to travel and play her organ while the kids danced. She loved having her family around her. She had a beautiful countenance and spirit that has touched the lives of her family and friends that loved her. She also played Pinnacle with the ladies she dearly loved for years.

Treva is survived by her four loving daughters and sons-in-law; 18 grandchildren, 54 great and 42 great-great. She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters; 3 spouses, Elmer Havin, Reno Russell and Frank Lashmett; granddaughter, Tami Kelley; grandson, Scott Simmons; 6 great-grandchildren, Sierra Potter, Braydon Candy, Joshua, Nicholas & Brandon Clark, and Jace Nielsen.

Words cannot tell the love we have for mom. She will be dearly missed until we meet again.

We want to especially thank Evelyn Noble CNA & Heritage Hospice, for the love, care and assistance they gave to mom. Dr. Mills, nurse Marion, nurse Sandy, CNA’s Annette, Kayleena, and all CNA helpers, Renee Bunderson, Shayla PA & Steven McKee, Chaplain. Also, deepest appreciation to the Chubbuck EMT’s, Fire Dept., and Police for all your help.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83201, 208-233-1500.

(corner of Hawthorne and Chubbuck Rd) Chubbuck, Idaho 83202, with Steve Mahonen filling in for Bishop McDonald, with a viewing from 12:30-1:15 pm prior to the services at the church.
