Haver Maryjane (Towe) Riggs was born November 30, 1925 to Albert Cicero and Bessie Cornelia (Gambill) Towe in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. She third was of eleven children: Herbert Henry, Harvey Edgar, Sarah Pauline, Corrina Jeweldine, Ella Beanell, Joyce Ester, Louis, William Selma, Barbara Jan, Charlisie Lee and Charles Franklin.
She married Poin Dexter "PD" Hawks Jr on December 21, 1945. They divorced shortly thereafter.
Haver was then united in marriage to Archie Gabriel Riggs on May 12, 1949. Two children were blessed to this union, Michael and Sherry.
At age 76, she died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2002, at High Point Regional Hospital in Thomasville, North Carolina.
