Elnor A. Bellaver, 97, of Kenosha passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Water’s Edge Nursing and Rehab with her loving family by her side. Elnor was born on December 7, 1918 in Athens, WI to Otto and Mamie (Alvord) Sampe.

She graduated from Kenosha High School. Elnor married Jesse Bellaver in Kenosha on July 20, 1940. She worked for many years in the medical community as a med-tech at a dental office and for an allergist. Elnor’s faith was incredibly important to her and she was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. She volunteered with the PTA, the Kenosha Hospital and the Museum Society. The arts were very important to Elnor, she played piano and instilled the importance of the arts in her family. She enjoyed being down by Lake Michigan and all the sights and sounds, especially the lighthouses. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. Elnor will always be remembered in the hearts of many people and will be remembered most for her kind and giving nature.

Elnor is survived by, two daughters, Gale (James) Kirk of Kenosha and Beth (Christopher) Drobka of Wauwatosa;
four grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher Barsch) Drobka of Brooklyn, NY, Devin (Carrie) Drobka of Milwaukee, Shelley (Mike) Michalski of Pewaukee and David (Maria) Johnson of Golden Valley, MN; two great grandchildren, Joseph and Alexander Michalski as well as other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; her husband, Jesse in 1988; three brothers, Alvord, Ernest, and Frederic Sampe; and three sisters, Irma Topper, Mabel Arnsten and Florence Smith.

Funeral services for Elnor will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, April9, 2016 at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church or Water’s Edge Nursing and Rehab activities department would be greatly appreciated. Elnore’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Water’s Edge Nursing and Rehab for the care and compassion they have shown her over the years.
