William Keen died May 17, at the home of his daughter Lulu Davis, near Polo. He was born August 6, 1836 in north Virginia. He was the only son of William Keen and wife.
He was married to Jane Dailey about the year 1851 in North Carolina; they came to Missouri in 1852. To this union one child was born, Levi Oscar. In the year 1854 his wife died in Clay County, MO.
His second marriage was to Cornelia Ann Albright, daughter of Joshua and Jane Albright, in the year 1858. To this union four children were born, William P. Keen of Oklahoms; General E. Keen of Arkansas; Partena Keen of Ray county, Missouri; and Lulu C. wife of David Davis of Polo, MO; and a host of grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Union by Joseph McAdams, a lifelong friend. His body rests in Union Cemetery.
