Married in 1778 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

Him and his wife had a total of eight children.

Parents were James and Mary (Weecks) Elliott.

Is said they are buried in the families cemetery known as the Elliott Family Cemetery, Prosperity, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
William Atkinson Elliott and wife Elizabeth Atkinson Elliott are buried in grave that have become unmarked over time - but it appears family placed 2 stones with William Ellitot and Elizabeth Elliott on the back row. See cemetery survey of Aug 2011.

Family history provided for William Atkinson Elliott Sr was the son of Thomas Elliott and Martha (Unknown) of Eastern Shores Maryland. He married Elizabeth Atkinson.

Family history from E. E. Elliott and Cora Elliott McGill have provided Elliott family history and for the cemetery. A recent cemetery visit and survey conducted by Michaela Elliott Pate in Aug of 2011 provided much more recent data.

William Atkinson Elliott Jr and Jemima Wingett Elliott are buried on Row 3 (per Aug 2011 survey by Michaela Elliott Pate). They have separate stones. William Stone 17 and Jemima stone 18.

The old William A Elliott Sr Family Cemetery is on Craft Creek Road (used to be called Cracraft Rd)2.3 miles West of Prosperity, PA. It is in an upper pasture and you just about have to have a truck to get to it now.

Property was the original land grant homesteaded by William A. Elliott Sr for his service in Revolutionary War. He called it "Elliott's Repose".

Last Elliott owner of land was Cora Elliott McGill and stepson Keith McGill who finally sold it to PA Game commission. Now may need permission to visit the cemetery from PA Game Commission.
