Hershel Delmer Kobeck, 87 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Monday, March 28, 2016, at Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
Born Saturday, July 21, 1928, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, he was the son of the late John Barton Kobeck and the late Alice Brown Kobeck. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ardmore and enjoyed painting, restoring antique cars and Braves Baseball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was preceded in death by his parents and wife Claudia Smith Kobeck.
Surviving are son, David (Jennifer) Kobeck of Athens, AL, grandchildren: Brianne (Caleb) Stambaugh, John David (Kali) Kobeck, Rebekah Kobeck, and Caleb Kobeck, and great-grandchild: Hank Kobeck.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Rev. Mark Smith and Rev. Toney Wales officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
