Rites Held For C. P. Ledet, 65


Funeral services for C. P. Ledet, 65, of Freeport, Tex., who was a native of Abbeville and who has four brothers and five sisters living here, were conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Freeport Catholic church.

Mr. Ledet died in the Freeport hospital at 6 p.m. Friday following an operation two weeks prior to his death. He had retired as an employee of the Freeport Sulphur Co. only four months at the time of his death. Burial was in the New Catholic cemetery in Abbeville at 3 p.m. Sunday.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council in Freeport.

Survivors include his wife, the former Cora Adam; one daughter, Mrs. Isaac David of Valaski, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. A. Haydell, Mrs. Hebrand Broussard, Mrs. Ulysse Ledet, Mrs. Theodore Broussard and Mrs. Elie Broussard, all of Abbeville; five brothers, Leonard Ledet of Beaumont, Texas, Alfred, Maurice, Eugene and Camille Ledet all of Abbeville.
