Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Raymond. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm, Thursday, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Ardys was born on May 19, 1934, in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, the daughter of Arthur and Cora (Wiegmann) McLane. She attended elementary school in Raymond where she grew up.
On March 3, 1951, Ardys was united in marriage to Dwayne "Bud" Blokzyl in Raymond. Following their marriage they lived in Willmar where she worked as a waitress, at Willmar Poultry Company and the Christian Nursing Home, before retiring in 1988. Bud preceded her in death on February 24, 1987.
On August 7, 1993, Ardys was united in marriage to Edward Milner at Church of St. Mary in Willmar. Following their marriage they moved to a home in Spicer. She was an active auxiliary member of the VFW and Eagles, as well as a member of the Elks and DOES.
Ardys was baptized and confirmed in Raymond and was a member of Church of St. Mary in Willmar where she ushered and volunteered in the kitchen with funerals.
She was an ambitious, hardworking person, who stood her ground but was also a lady full of personality and was always willing to have a good time. Her home was always open to others with a hearty meal (enough for an army) to be enjoyed.
