~OUR FAMILIES ANCESTRAL ROOTS~


Johann Leonhardt was the son of Johann Wendel Storm, b. 1709 in Klein-Schifferstadt, and Christina Margaretha Ebbert. He immigrated with them from Germany in 1749, along with his brothers Daniel and Jacob, and sister Anna Maria.


He married Anna Mary Hoffman 13 Dec 1756 in Frederick, Maryland, British Colonial America.


COMMENT: Anna Barbara Hoffman was the wife of Leonhardt's uncle, Johannes Storm, b. ca. 1733 to Jacob Storm and Anna Benedictina Sauer.


Revolutionary War Patriot, served in Maryland as a soldier.


His stone is harder to read from the weathering, so we purchased him a metal plaque in 2002. (although is now missing Jan. 07')

To daughter Christiana and her husband, the lands where he then lived and his plantation adjoining Jacob WEISE called "Tom's Gift", containing 280 acres, during their natural lifetime only, then to their children equally.


To daughter Marianna, house and lots in Frederick Town on Patrick Street, adjoining Jacob BRUNNER; "Dixon's Struggle" and "Liberty", adjoining John BAER, 32 acres, during her natural life, then to her children.


To grandson Peter STORM, house in Bentz Town where he then lived, during his natural life, then to his children, and $1500.


To granddaughter Margaret MILLER, the house East of the one to Peter, during her natural life, then to her children, and $1500.


To grandson Leonard STORM, the house East of the one to Margaret, during his natural life, then to his children, and $1500.


To grandson Jacob STORM, $2500.


Land - "Turkey's Range", 180 acres, and 36 acres from Fielder GANT, near Middletown and next to Philip KELLER.


In 1822, John GROVE and (John) Leonard LEVY sold the land to Jacob GROvE Sr., but other siblings have not received their shares.


At the time of the will, son Leonard had possession of the farm, "Turkey Range", including a mountain lot, 200 acres. Son Jacob had possession of "Father's Good Will", the farm near the mountain, including a mountain lot, 130 acres. The deceased also had "Stoney Ridge", 25 acres of mountain land.


On 17 Jan 1839, sale was made to David BOWLUS and John SIFFORD

for "Turkey Range".
