Jack Farrington White Junior of Monticello flew his final sortie March 21, 2016. An attorney and former F-86D Sabre pilot Jack was born February 9, 1929 in Clearwater to the late Judge Jack F. White Sr. and Mary Westbrook White. He was a 1947 graduate of Clearwater High and joined the Air Force in 1951. He married Carolyn Ruth Bolt in 1957. A 1961 Stetson Law graduate, his career spanned five decades. Charming, lovable, and often irascible, Jack was an athlete, party guy, dreamer, artist, and storyteller extraordinaire. Adoring father, most loyal of friends, and staunch defender of the oppressed. Lover of elegant things, especially antiques. Known for his irreverent wit, keen legal mind, and kind-hearted nature. Survived by brothers, Albert C. White and Sid J. White, adopted siblings Jesse Lee and Mary Lee, sons Jack F. White III (Noel), David F. White, Bryan W. White (Celia), daughter Alison D. White, and four grandchildren. The family wishes to thank his devoted friends Jack Harnett and Gordon Scott. Interment will be Friday April 1 at 2pm at the National Cemetery immediately followed by a celebration of life at TGI Fridays in Tallahassee.
