CLINTON, LA.
At the residence of the bride's parents, in this city, yesterday evening, Mr. J. W. Grippen was united in marriage to Miss Katie Bennett, daughter of Mr. T. B. Bennett. Rev. E. T. Denson officiating. The bride is one of our most lovely young ladies. Mr. Grippen came to this parish from New Jersey before he had reached his manhood, and took charge of a large and run-down cotton plantation for his uncle. He showed his grit by making a success beyond the expectations of anyone. He is now one of the most successful farmers in the parish.
