Brenda Sue Giles, 67, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 23, 1944 in Troutman, to the late Marvin Luther and Neta Stillwell Starnes. Brenda was a remarkable woman who raised four wonderful children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Allen Giles; brothers, Robert and Gerald Starnes; and granddaughter, Yasmeen Hammade.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Troutman and her husband, Dale of Mooresville; children, Robert Giles and his wife, Lisa of Mooresville, Ronda Remaden and her husband, Matthew of Pineville, Richard Giles and his wife, Cindy of Largo, Fla. and Renee Summerville and her husband, Curtis of Mooresville; grandchildren, Haley, Bobbi, Adam, Ronia, Ryan, Christine, Rebecca, Chris, Heaven, Destiny and Alexis; greatgrandchildren, Emerson and Evalynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
An intimate gathering celebrating Brenda’s life was held Saturday, March 3, at 3 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church in Mooresville.
