Josephine D. Castellucci, 91, of Goose Creek, died Sunday, March 20, 2016.

Josephine was born in Philadelphia to the late Giovanni and Saveria Cirucci. Known to her friends as "Mama" or "Josie", she was a social butterfly loved by all.

Josephine and her late husband Peter started Philly's in Summerville, where they were the owner/operators. Her family knew her as being a hard worker and a practical jokester, travelling through life with a sense of humor. She was compassionate, kind, generous, and showed her family unconditional love.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Michael) Norris of Myrtle Beach, SC, Celia Castellucci of Summerville, and Stephen (Cheryl) Castellucci of Goose Creek; sister Mildred (Dominic) Repice of Florida; grandchildren, Andrea Castellucci, Tina (Robert) Wilson, and Stefan Castellucci; great-grandchildren, Michael, Maria, Matthew, and Mia.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Peter Castellucci and her siblings, Rose Cirucci Carrollo, Lena Cirucci , Michael Cirucci, Maria Cirucci Baldino, Elizabeth Cirucci Oettle, Dominick Cirucci ,Louise Cirucci Repice and Louis Cirucci Proverbs: Chapter Seven Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in the times to come.

A memorial visitation will be held, Friday, March 25, 2016, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel. A private burial will be held. Flowers will be accepted; however memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation, www.kidney.org.
