A daughter of Simon Pinkney Bisanar and his wife Rachel Starnes, Amanda Roxanna Bisanar married Robert Henry Field in Caldwell County, NC, on 5 April 1868. They had three children: Claudia A. Field (1869-1938, Mrs. J. F. Allen), Robert P. Field (1874-1932) and Henry L. Field (1886-1933). They were living in Charlotte in 1880, running a hotel. Robert was later a grocery and dry goods merchant. Amanda died in Hickory in 1925. Robert was a 3rd great uncle of mine in my grandfather's Field line, and Amanda was a distant cousin of mine in my grandmother's Stearns/Starnes line.
