He was the son of "Ernest and Arlene Winnings. The family relocated to southwest Holt County in Nebraska." "He attended grade school at a country school and later was the first graduating class at West Holt Public High School in Atkinson in 1969. He then went on to Nebraska Technical Agriculture College in Curtis, majoring in ag business. There he meet Corinne Lord. They married in Indianola in 1971." He was survived by his wife, a son and his wife, 2 grandsons, 5 sisters, 3 brothers, his mother-in-law, a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, a goddaughter, many nieces, nephews and friends.
