Miriam Bobo Templeton, age 96, formerly of Church Street, and widow of Jack Templeton, passed away on March 25, 2016.

Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mittie Todd Bobo. Mrs. Templeton graduated from Limestone College. Miriam taught Home Economics at Hickory Tavern School and Laurens High School for 33 years. She was very active in ADK, a teaching sorority. Miriam was a member of First Baptist Church where she was the WMU director for 60 years. Mrs. Templeton was a talented pianist who enjoyed sharing her talents with her church and school. Miriam was a fantastic cook who loved preparing meals for her entire family.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Stroble and husband Keith of Greenville, SC, and Ann Poole and husband Rick of Laurens, SC; grandchildren, Temple Holland and husband Jonathan of Buford, GA, Amanda Harrison and husband Hal of Duncan, SC, and Kent Brannon and husband Adam of Lawrenceville, GA; great-grandchildren, Reese Holland, Thomas Holland, Sarah Beth Brannon, and Caroline Brannon; and sister-in-law, Linda Faye Hunter Bobo of Gray Court, SC.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Miriam was predeceased by two brothers, Gene Bobo of Gainesville, GA and Everett Bobo of Gray Court, SC.

Committal: Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Gray Court.
