Marjorie Ann Krase, 87, formerly of 1138 Skinner, died at 11 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Knoxville.

Born Jan. 5, 1915, in Knoxville to George and Eunice May Mundwiler Soper, she married Arthur C. Krase on Dec. 30, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He died Sept. 7, 1989.

She also was preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including her niece, Sara (and Jack) Siedel of Knoxville, who were her caregivers.

She worked as a sorter at Knox Laundry in Galesburg for a few years. She then was a clerk at O.T. Johnson Department Store in Galesburg from 1953, until she retired May 17, 1959.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Galesburg.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hinchliff-PearsonWest Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Tom Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
