Floye Marie Marquis Kenady passed from this life on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

She was born January 3, 1930, and was 86 years old. She was the only child of the late Joe and Ara Ward Marquis.

She is survived by her husband, George C. Kenady Jr., her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Cindi Kenady, and their three sons and families: Kollin and Mel, Chandler and Kayla, and Clayton - all of Lubbock, TX. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Judy Kenady, granddaughter Amy Waddell and Tom of McKinney, and grandson Scott Kenady and Christy of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by five great grandsons, one sister-in-law, Norma Robbins and her daughter Kaye Schwertner and Charles of Abilene, TX.

Her eldest son, George C. (Kenny) Kenady III preceded her in death in 2010.

Floye was a life-long quilter and crafter who spent many of her days happily behind a sewing machine. She ran the M&K Variety Store in Aspermont, TX with her mother and enjoyed a bountiful social life through her church First Baptist.

Visitation will be tomorrow, Friday, March 25th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at the funeral home in Aspermont. The funeral will be held Saturday, March 26th, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Aspermont. Internment will be at the Aspermont Cemetery under the direction of Giles/McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont, TX.
