Melissa, Texas -- Rudolph (Rudy) Prikryl (2/15/1924-3/24/16) passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Melissa, TX.
Rudy was born in Seymour, TX, attended school there, and attended North Texas State College.

Rudy was a long-time custom home builder (R&R Builders/Starmist Custom Homes) which was a Father-Son business until a few years ago, after which he continued operating on his own. He was a licensed real estate inspector. He was actively involved in a variety of businesses over the years, including the original Dairyette in Dallas.

Rudy was previously a member of the Farmersville School Board and actively engaged in Little League Baseball and other sports. He enjoyed hunting, boating and snow skiing. For many years Rudy was very active in the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

Being a Czech, Rudy enjoyed polkas and delighted in playing the harmonica, especially for his grandchildren.

He helped build TV towers throughout the U.S.

He was recently honored for 60 years service in Scottish Rite Masons.

Rudy was a member of Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano.

Rudy was preceeded in death by his parents, Joseph & Anna Prikryl.
