Loving wife, mom, Nanni, aunt, sister, and daughter passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born June 3, in Ott, Arkansas, to Virdo and Goldena (Harris) Sigler. The family moved to Missouri in 1950, then to Portland, Oregon in July of 1963. They lived there for 6 months before moving to Roseburg, OR. Norma graduated from Roseburg High School in 1965. She then returned to Portland and attended beauty school.

She married Donald Raymond Bonnett on October 6, 1966. Traci was born on October 10, 1968. On October 12, 1968, Don was killed in a car accident while stationed in Germany serving in the US Army.

Norma later married the love of her life and best friend, Leon Chaboude, on May 5, 1970. Darci was a welcomed addition to complete their family of four. Norma, Leon, and their two daughters moved to Winston, OR, where they lived for 42 years. They lived in Denver, Colorado for three years from 1974-1977.

Norma had many hobbies; her favorites were cooking, sewing, gardening, cutting hair, and spending time with family and friends. Norma was a homemaker, and also worked throughout the years caring for many children. When the time came, she cared for her mother-in-law and then continued to work with senior services, caring for other clients.

Her greatest joys in life, besides Leon and her daughters, were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing with them, teaching them to cook, and most of all, giving them lots of sugar (kisses).

Norma is survived by her daughters Traci (David) Bittner of Prior Lake, MN, and Darci Chaboude-Robison of Winston, OR; seven angel babies, Brytani (Andrew) Weber of Springfield, OR, Kelsea (Chris) Warren of Minot, ND, Taylor Bittner of Prior Lake, MN, Rhyker and DeMyah Robison of Winston, OR; four great angel babies, Shelby, Selah, and Saylor (will join us April 8) Weber, and Marleigh Bittner; adopted family Jamie, Shane, Dusty (Justin), and Nathan Miller; brothers Vern (Karen) Sigler and Donnie Sigler; sisters Jan (Al) Comfort, and Melissa; sisters in Christ Linda Stone, Patti Hansen, and Julie Mitchell; along with many nieces and nephews; loyal companions, TJ and Taffi; and extended family and friends.

Norma is now rejoicing with her best friend and husband, Leon; along with her parents; sister Tammie; brother Gary; Gramps; as well as close friends and family.

A celebration of life for Norma will be held at the Winston Community Center on Saturday, April 16, at 11:30 a.m.
