Note: His obituary mentions a daughter named Anna Mae Pierce, but I believe this is a daughter of his nephew Morris Durham & Agnes Heyman Durham. Agnes died when some of her children were young, and it appears the younger children (or at least younger girls) were "adopted out" to other relatives, including Anna Mae going to Roland and his wife. (This Anna Mae was not appearing in Roland & Helen's household in the 1940 census. She suddenly shows up in the 1950 census). (Agnes had died in 1943). (In the 1950 census, Morris only has sons Carl and Lewis/Louis with him).
