Floyd was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Coleridge, Nebraska, and grew up in Laurel, Nebraska, where he attended school.
He served in the U.S. Army with the 461st Ordnance Evacuation Co. in England, France, Germany and Belgium, driving trucks and heavy equipment. He then worked in Yankton, S.D., for a short time and worked on several feeder and dairy farms in Nebraska after 1950. In 1974, he moved to Fremont, Nebraska, in 1974. He was a member of the American Legion Post 20 of Fremont.
Mr. Andrews married Shirley Marlhwig Feb. 14, 1950, in Coleridge, Nebraska. They were blessed with a daughter.
Floyd Albert Andrews, 69, of rural Fremont, Nebraska, died Jan. 21, 1994, at his home.
Left to honor his memory are his wife; daughter, Ellen Andrews of Fremont; two sisters, Jean Minarik of Omaha, NE and Oma Pfund of Coleridge, NE.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Tom Shaw will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 and American Legion Post 20, both of Fremont, at Memorial Cemetery.
