Arthur Harold Cathcart, Jr, age 82 years, passed away in Oregon on March 20, 2016. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on March 8, 1934 to the late Arthur and Eleanor (Gravlin) Cathcart. Arthur was an avid reader. He enjoyed music and played many instruments. He is survived by his children: Mary Sue (Bill) Spiers of Fairbanks, AK, Betty (Tim) Heinzman of Sitka, AK, Charlotte Crain of Bella Vista, AK and Arthur H. Cathcart, III, 7 grandchildren, a sister Loretta Schlicker, a sister-in-law, Pat Cathcart, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, E. Michael Cathcart. A memorial service will be held at Penzien-Steele Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Leroy Westphal will officiate. Private interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Bay County.
